"Thinking," Virgil swiped down with his steel baton in-hand, a loud crack residing over the City Eighteen secondary checkpoint. Sometimes he didn't -like- to do these things to people that he deemed didn't 'deserve' it, but he was dutiful. Always followed the rules in the re-education academies. He performed his duties in a punctual and ethical manner, working over-time whenever the opportunity had [i]arisen. [/i]He was well known by his colleagues for this type of behavior, granting him some joking nicknames from his co-workers.  Virgil served for a majority of time in the force, before the year 2010 arrived. Greeted by several response calls, Eaton rushed to the surrounding cities, towards the relief effort that was spreading throughout as a way to help from the Black Mesa Incident. During this time, a rupture within the stormy clouds occurred. A turquoise tornado-like figure was visible, being promptly dubbed 'Portal Storms'. These storms quickly destroyed most of the urban life within the surrounding areas. the Combine Empire quickly used these rifts following the initial invasions to intercept into Earth's dimension. Returning home, he was greeted by gunpoint. Synthetic-like soldiers had surrounded his destroyed home.
