I played this same character on .DUST, a post-apocalyptic, gritty version of Half-Life 2 Roleplay. What do you know about the Vortessence? [list] [*][i]First off, appearance. Most Vortal-creatures in general have their skins coated a mottled-green like colour. This dark tone provides a natural camouflage when placed into an environment like the Outlands or, most notably, the sewers.[/i] [*][i]A Vortigaunt does its' best to stay away from most conflicts, fights and such are not on their agenda to intervene into. Their primary goal is to simply survive. Vortigaunts believe in a binding force labelled the 'Vortessence'. This is what they believe to bind every life in this known universe together; the fabric of every being.[/i] [*][i]As stated in the 'megathread,' "Since Vortigaunts are aliens, you won't speak perfect English. You might not know complex words and you may have difficulty pronouncing them. [They] are also noted to use archaic words and syntax, tending to use outdated, even Shakespearean phrases. They also, typically in the game place a 'The' in front of names, which is popularly known as a feature of the German language."[/i] [*][i]Vortigaunts see others of their species as kin, potentially even being viewed as a hive-mind of sorts. If a Vortigaunt accepts a group or faction of human individuals, they will not betray them unless the character has a -very- good and specific reason for the traitorous action.[/i] [/list] Give at least ten detailed lines of RP as either a Free or Enslaved Vortigaunt. Your Application is good but, just a suggestion with your backstory. Explain how your vortigaunt is free snd their interactions with the Universal Union on earth.

Basically, it implies that they were supposedly in hiding throughout various cities' underground-zones. 

I mean you seem like you know what you're doing... So why should this app be denied? The whole point is to see if he can be trusted with the whitelist, and it shouldn't be denied just because of the back story...

The app looks fine, but the backstory, as the others have said, your backstory seems to just be explaining Xen? Try and explain how your vort got freed, PLEASE. I'd hate for a decent app to get denied over a backstory. [size=120]Neutral, though.[/size]

Each time I read this I feel more and more like you had the wiki open in another tab and were just putting down what you read there because your answers look copy pasted. I realize to an extent this is inevitable with an answer such as "What is the Vortessence?"[/size][size=100] but you went off answering questions that weren't asked and even then it looked like you took it from an external source. Another issue I have with this is just how uninspired your backstory and RP examples are, they look like you sat down and finished them both in ten minutes and just didn't give a damn. You showed very little actual knowledge of Vortigaunt roleplay in your example and your backstory leaves so much to be desired that I'd end up typing another paragraph on improvements for that alone if I went into it. Looking at this I honestly don't really know who you are and despite multiple reads I don't know who your character is, what their story is or to what level you could even play them. I can't leave you support and I feel going neutral would be a bit too easy on you.[/size]
